Axiom Partners, Inc. (AXIOM) performed multiple testing and planning projects on many buildings throughout the entire Harvard Campus. AXIOM has been working with Harvard University over the past few years on projects ranging from Hazardous Building Material Inspections to safety planning and Air Quality Monitoring for the installation of new heating systems in several dormitories, to Pre-demolition and renovation testing for Mercury, CFCs, lead paint, and PCBs. AXIOM worked closely with the design team to develop the scope of asbestos and related abatement work, prepare specifications, solicit bids and monitor the asbestos abatement contractor.

Boston Public Schools
Under a Joint Venture Agreement, Axiom Partners, Inc. (AXIOM) has been awarded a second term contract to perform environmental and industrial hygiene services for Boston Public Schools (BPS). The Facilities Management Department currently operates and manages over 130 school buildings/properties throughout the City of Boston.
BPS is converting all school buildings from oil to gas heat. AXIOM is assisting BPS with this endeavor, which involves the systematic removal of over a 100 underground storage tanks (USTs). AXIOM has performed subsurface investigations of leaking oil storage tanks. Work includes the installation/sampling of groundwater monitoring wells, data collection, report generation, filing necessary paperwork with MA DEP and submittal of recommendations for remedial options. AXIOM provided oversight of operations and maintenance of a groundwater pumps and treat systems.
AXIOM has also conducted hazardous building materials surveys, which include various asbestos-containing materials, PCBs, Mercury, CFCs and lead-based paint. AXIOM provides oversight during asbestos abatement projects to ensure the work is performed in compliance with governing regulations in sensitive school settings.

Manchester School District Maguire Group GE Aircraft Engines
Axiom Partners, Inc. (AXIOM) is assisting Gilbane Building Company, the project Design-Build Contractor, and the Manchester Public Schools with survey design and abatement oversight for large-scale renovation work at 10 schools in Manchester, New Hampshire.
AXIOM began this project by completing a renovation-based survey of each school targeting asbestos-containing materials (ACM). AXIOM was able to update the school’s existing ACM survey reports to comply with EPA regulations for demolition/renovation projects, but minimize the survey cost by using existing sampling data. AXIOM is currently performing on-site asbestos abatement monitoring, project management and clearance testing during the abatement phase of the project.
Included in the project scope was the preparation of abatement specifications, abatement designs in conformance with AHERA* regulations and preparation of CADD drawings for both the survey reports and abatement specifications.
* AHERA: Asbestos Hazard Emergency Response Act (1986) promulgated by the U. S. Environmental Protection Agency in regards to public and private schools, which include grades K-12.

Axiom Partners, Inc. (AXIOM) routinely assists Maguire Group, Inc., a local Architectural and Engineering firm, with building-related hazardous materials assessments, remediation designs, specification and drawing preparation and hazardous materials abatement oversight for projects ranging from federal properties to privately-owned buildings.
AXIOM has worked with Maguire Group, Inc. on several public school projects, a hospital boiler house upgrade project, multiple state courthouse renovation projects, projects at two regional universities, and projects at private facilities, including a dog-racing park and a large public water supply facility.
AXIOM works closely with several architects and engineers at Maguire Group, Inc. and has developed a solid working relationship with this firm built upon providing thorough, cost effective and timely project deliverables.

Axiom Partners, Inc. (AXIOM) is providing a varied set of Industrial Hygiene and Health & Safety services to General Electric Aircraft Engines on both Lynn, MA and Hooksett, NH facilities. These manufacturing facilities have over 4,000 employees and build jet engine components and marine turbine systems for both civilian and military use.
These General Electric Aircraft Engines (GEAE) sites include over 30 separate research, testing and manufacturing buildings. AXIOM’s role includes a variety of industrial hygiene and health and safety support services including day-to-day management of asbestos and lead paint issues including testing, abatement design, remedial oversight, and documentation control. AXIOM also prepares and delivers essential health and safety training programs including lock-out, tag-out, fall protection, safety awareness, etc., oversight of the contractor health and safety program (hazard communication training, chemical safety/MSDS control, safety audits, etc.); and management and implementation of the plant-wide industrial hygiene program. AXIOM provides an essential role in the overall plant Health and Safety program.
Services to GEAE at the Lynn facility are provided on a full-time, in-plant basis by multiple AXIOM employees.
